Tabescent...

To know it remained soft in silk, too long like new
labels intact, each day polished to a shining hue
neither silver nor gold, it’s whitemetal so rare a few
hand made art, studded stones in red, yellow and blue

to know it now... it is no more a dream to boast
glanced with pity one more time, before it is lost
it is alive for you to look, time enough for a final toast
flung away it will stay, dazzle lost; stone cold as frost

Current song is Backstreet boys with their "show me the meaning" which is one of their all time favourite.

welcome back after the short break...that's a lovely piece...i mean the poem and the jewellery too! don't fling it away, let it remain soft in silk...a thing of beauty is a joy forever

Love your poem more than the jewellery :) I did update my art blog :) Thanks!

Both have significant meanings in our life, poems and jewelry given with affection. We place so much of ourselves in our poems, our gifts, and then some see no meaning, nor fully appreciate the heartfelt love behind even the tiniest gestures. I am always at a loss why some people can't see into the soul of someone they love. But I guess many of us are just blessed and others well, it is just a poem or a ring. There is significance in all things, isn't there, even a lonely melon. :):)

I think the poem and the ring both lovely.....

Thanks for that warm welcome and excuisite comment.

The silk will start to disintegrate soon and then where will I keep it ?
Yet, I know that it is not easy to fling away something so beautiful.
