I meekly watched them all go, one by one
counting them all precisely, missing none

I counted the last with my ruptured frozen mind
then a sudden rustle, the sound of footsteps behind
I knew, it was your turn; I saw you as I turned around

those eyes, I couldn’t look, as I had to hold my tears
years of closeness I saw simply vaporize, thick in layers
all I did was love, and love you deep in all known colours
sorrows were shared, laughed and all faced it as pairs

my eyes fluttered a moment, sure I left nothing behind
I took a full minute to look at you with out a sound
I saw no love, hidden or else in those eyes so profound
with sudden vigour, like never before; I took my step ahead

Such perfound words never fades from eyes, once it starts feeling,it express much more than words and at times even hearts. But your eyes should be able to read it,so also your heart.Lovely song...........and an apt capture.simply loved it and your words.

Nice poem, but sense a sadness for a lost love in it.

You just made my day eith you nice comments, though I still feel that artistically I am nothing.

No, It is not a painting, its a photograph I have taken some time my Roxio programme to give a paint effect.

I am not graced with that talent like you janice, but I have no complaints.

Sometimes I do pencil though.
