Recently I was stranded in Sultanate of Oman for a day due a flight cancellation.
I was not very happy with Gulf Air for that delay.
They hushed me up by accomodating me in a good hotel in the city itself.

On my way to the airport in the morning for my onward flight, though misty and hazy... I saw this beautful Mosque above and clear, as an architectural beauty surrounded by lush greenery and white flowers.

The Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Muscut, Sultanate of Oman.
Thought it worth sharing with all of you.

Yes, in Oman we feel the humid warm air embracing your face.

It looked lovely in the morning mist and I took the picture.

It is a beautiful building Jac that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. The serene shapes fit in well with the trees, shrubs and flowers. Beautiful.

My mind was furious the previous day due to the delay but the sights from that country which I have captured in my photo disk for future use and the beautiful sight of this mosque in the serene, chilly morning melted my fury.

You are right; it was worth every hour I spent there.

I liked it too. Thank you for sharing you views.

That is what I too thought when I took the picture.

It never reminded me as a religious place. It stood there like it has grown there, completely entwining with the surroundings.

Thanks for sharing your mind.
