A mere touch.

There are some days that I feel so senile
There are sometimes that I care not
to smile
There are those times
I need just a touch

From some one who share,
From a hand that does care,

Knowing that dreams remain dreams all along
Knowing that hopes are just lies all along
Here is my song that is played
at the 'soh'

Here in this window... I open my soul.

* P.S :- For those who don't know, the word 'soh' is related to music. It is the fifth note of a MAJOR SCALE

That's beautiful Jac .. very beautiful indeed! I know what you're saying - there are days on which I feel like 200 ... and others, on which I feel like 20 but I think that's normal! I am just happy the latter is outweighing the first .. ha-ha!
We all need a touch, the closeness of someone who cares .. we are humans! Your post does radiate some sadness - cheer up my friend!! There are MANY people who care ... you're not alone!!

Jac, I remember those days practising those major and minor scales for hours when just learning to play the piano. Today I play the organ. My Father gave me that piano that my older sister and I learned to play on. Then when Walt bought me the organ I gave that family piano to my oldest daughter and her family to enjoy. After the 2 ops on my left little finger I found it hard to reach and play the keys with that hand. So I made up for it by playing chords with the left hand and the keys with the right hand. I love organ playing. I love guitar music also, but never did learn to play it. Did buy guitars for a couple of our sons when they were younger. Even had my step sons band playing in my cellar one winter and as soon as spring arrived that year Walt shipped the band from the cellar out to his Bike shop so he could hear the TV over them. :):)

Jac... you asked me (silent one, hehe) to show you the poem. You wrote it on Tuesday, June 7th, 2005... almost a year ago! Wow. Time flies. The title was 'The Face of the Eyes'. I read it the other day and realized how much meaning there was to it, and how perfect it was. At the time I didn't really get it fully. So I decided to come back and thank you. It means a lot.

To Dot - can you indeed play a BIG church-organ?? I always wanted that ... it is so powerful! I had piano-lessons for four years in high-school but, sadly enough, forgot almost everything.
At least the "do-re-mi-fa-so" is still very much in my memory ...

"In reality hope is the worst of all evils because it prolongs man's torments"
-Friedrich Nietzsche-

Thanks for that Emily quote.

I love her poems but I dislike just this one, for some reason.

If I can stop one heart from breaking
I shall not live in vain
If I can ease on Life the Aching
Or cool one pain

Or help one fainting Robin
Unto his Nest again
I shall not live in Vain.

Yes, I did.
But my eyebrows remain raised.

“Our death is not an end if we can live on in our children and the younger generation. For they are us, our bodies are just wilted leaves on the tree of life”

-Albert Einstein-

So don’t ever wait for it.

To answer "I love munich" and you "Jac", yes I can play the organ, but have never played the church ones. I did sing in the Choir in Church years back, but never play a Church organ.
My Aunt once owned the huge old organ with the pipes on top and I used to love the sound of that one.She used to let us kids play on it. Mine is a bit smaller, no pipes on top. It stands 38 inches High, 46 inches long and 25 inches deep with 2 keyboards (one above the other), each keyboard has 26 white keys and 18 black keys- about 3 1/2 octaves . Above the keys are a total of 48 push levers that have different instruments - 21 for upper keyboard, 6 for lower keyboard, and 8 are for using with the 13 foot peddals , rest for allover tones, 7 rhythems, 4 sliders to handle speed, volume and flute adjustments. It also has the keys that are called the "Magic Genie 88" which can play the chords for any scale note while I am playing the keys. I also have the foor pedal to higher or lower music at my will. This is a rough explanation of some of the items on my organ. I have a nice bench to sit on while playing.

Jac, reading this blog a second time I noticed the "soh" means 5th note in the MAJOR SCALE. So that must mean playing in the key of "G", as "G" is the 5th note in English in the MAJOR SCALE. So I learned another new word today.

trying to post again as internet explorer knocked me off my first try today. Hop it posts this time.
Have a nice day.

I know that *touch* is magical, but is hope too ?
